We are not accepting applications for housing at this time.

Pre-application status verification forms were mailed to approximately 299 individuals currently on the waiting list on Friday, February 27.     Applicants must complete and return the form to the Community Assistance Division no later than Friday, March 27.     Failure to respond by the deadline will result in removal from the waiting list.     The County cannot verify receipt until all questionnaires have been processed. If your questionnaire is returned by the deadline above, you can verify your waiting list position by visiting this page beginning July 3, 2026.

Remember, it is the responsibility of the applicant to provide the PHA with written notification of any change of address listed on the preliminary application. The annual questionnaires were mailed to the address on file. A change of address must be submitted to the County of Volusia in one of the following ways:

The County will exercise due diligence in attempting to contact the applicant for periodic updates of the status of the preliminary application and/or with an invitation to complete an eligibility application for housing assistance. Removal from preliminary status and from the waiting list will occur if the County is unable to contact the applicant by mail.
